Personalize Your Garden!

Hello Fellow Gardeners, Today I wanted to share with you a real treasure for your garden– custom engraved garden stones. I recently received a blue slate garden stone from Plaques and More, and I have to tell you, it’s beautiful! You can decorate your garden with something meaningful to you such as a loved one’s name, a personal motto, or whatever your heart desires, as long as it fits within the allotted space. Personally, I chose to customize my stone with the last two lines of one of my favorite poems by William Blake (see above).

You can choose from a variety of fonts, and small pictures (such as flowers, trees, butterflies, and more), and there are a variety of shape and sizes, as well as stone options. The stones offered can be anything from beautiful colorful granite to simple river rocks, depending on what your price range is, and how large you want the stone to be. Many stones also come with the option to add a back to them (at extra cost) so that they will stand on their own.

Although the stones are very heavy, you don’t have to worry about a hefty shipping charge, in fact ground shipping is free in the continental United States! Pretty amazing when you consider gas prices right now! The stone I received was packed very securely with loads of padding.

Bottom line, I was very impressed with the quality of the stone I received, as well as the beautiful workmanship. My experience with Plaques & More. com could not have been better. I had a very odd request...a very dear friend of mine who is/was Jewish passed away a little less than a year ago and was cremated. Im a catholic, but In the Jewish faith one year after the person dies a memorial is held and the head stone is uncovered. Because my friend was Jewish and because he was cremated there is no burial plot and no stone to be uncovered...but the memorial service is stll happening at his home. It was difficult for his widow to plan a proper memorial without a central location for people to meet. I asked Plaques & More to make a very simple slate stone witha stand that simply said Call Was Here 1925-2003 so that htere would be a marker around which we could all gather. The person to whom I spoke at plaques & More was so sensitive to my plight and so receptive and speedy in fulfilling my request that I can not thank her enough. (I dont want to post her name but she knows who she is! .) The service is tonight and it will be complete because of the treatment that I received at Plaques & More. The slate came on Saturday and it was exactly what I had asked for and it was wonderful to present it to my friends widow and solve her problem. I just wanted to write to thank you and let you know how beautiful the heart shape rose granite pet marker turned out. It was much heavier than I anticipated, was able to get it out of the box, but there it sat. I had to ask my dad for help to get it to the cemetary. Just wanted you to know to, that when I originally told the director at the cemetary that I was ordering the marker online, it was obvious that he was extremely scepticle, making sure I knew they were not to be held responsible for any damage to a insupperior stone. My deepest thanks for all your hard work (and certainly your staff) for anexquisitely beautiful job on the plaques for my surgeons! The feeling when I saw them, such awesomely beautiful, classy "art" work, doesn't begin to explain how I felt when each and every one of the doctors I work for opened up their gift. I received my order of the three pet memorials late yesterday afternoon. I can't begin to tell you how happy I am with them. They are perfect, exactly what I had wanted.
I guess I don't have to tell you what a difficult year it has been for our family. We lost our two little 16year old Pug dogs within 2 months of each other. One in Aug and one in Oct. They were brother and sister, from the same litter. We know we were blessed to have them live such long lives, but still it's hard to say goodbye to these little members of the family. Yesterday I received the plaque I ordered and I wanted to let you know how much I liked it. Our dogs, brother and sister bench-leg beagles, grew up with our family and lived to be 15 and 17 years old. Nothing can replace them, but I thought we should have a memorial to their faithfulness.
